Sweet berries, spicy jalapenos, onions, cilantro, and a squeeze of lime combine to make this Strawberry Salsa. Between this salsa and my pineapple salsa, I just can’t stop making fruit salsas this summer!
This comes together in about 15 minutes and the salsa disappears almost faster than that every single time I make it.
This strawberry version was inspired by my friend Sue’s gorgeous photographs, if you haven’t already seen her line-up of fresh salsas, don’t miss them! I’ve made this recipe a handful of times now.
Each time I make it, I think that strawberry salsa would be awesome on chicken or fish. However, it has never lasted long enough for me to actually test that. We all grab a handful of chips and dig in as soon as it’s on the table.
Strawberry Recipes
When strawberries are in season, I can’t get enough of them. From salads to main dishes to all of the desserts, I’ll happily eat them every day.
The classic Strawberry Spinach Salad and this Berry Pasta Salad are always popular in my house. This gorgeous Strawberry Vinaigrette has a place in our refrigerator often too.
Strawberry desserts are a summer favorite. Strawberry Rhubarb Crunch, Strawberry Cobbler, and Strawberry Coconut Crisp Bars all need to be on your baking list this year.
Fluffy Strawberry Banana Ice Cream is the perfect way to cool off this summer.
Last but not least, have you tried Whipped Strawberry Butter? It’s pure heaven on a biscuit or scone.
COOKING TIP: This salsa is best immediately after it is made. If you must make it an hour or two in advance, wait to add the lime juice when you’re ready to serve it. The strawberries will begin to break down soon after it has all been combined.

Yum! You've got beautiful ruby red strawberries, I think that's the key to this salsa. Wouldn't this taste great on a grilled fish taco?
